Roy Earl Cason

Oct. 15, 1958 – December 2, 2022

A Memorial Service will be held for Roy E. Cason, 64, of Coos Bay, at 10:00 AM Saturday December 17, 2022 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 3355 Virginia Ave, North Bend, Oregon.

Roy was born October 15, 1958 in Denver, Colorado, the son of James Alton and Joan Ann (Frick) Cason. He was raised and educated in California, Missouri, and in Hood River, Oregon where he was on the wrestling and track teams at Hood River High School graduating in 1977.

He soon met Jolene Cardon and they were married on June 14, 1980 in Tillamook, Oregon. They were sealed for time and eternity at the Seattle Temple on May 28, 1982.

Roy worked as a warehouse manager for Continental Floral Greens for many years in Coos Bay and in Albany. He also worked at several other warehouses in Oregon and Utah.

He enjoyed woodworking, fishing and crabbing, growing veggies, fruits and flowers, cooking and BBQing and he enjoyed watching football, especially the Oregon Ducks, and basketball. He was a member of the North Bend Ward of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and he had a strong testimony of the divine role of Jesus Christ.

He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Jolene Cason of Coos Bay, OR, daughters, Elizabeth & Jason Stott of West Valley, UT, Angela & Malcolm Nelson of Grovetown, GA, Jennifer & Jon Shaw of Coos Bay, OR, and son, James & Alexis Cason of Kerns, UT and seven amazing grandchildren, his mother, Joan Cason of Coos Bay, OR, brother, John & Patricia Cason of Queen Creek, AZ, and sister, Jean Marie & Wayne Ivans of North Bend, OR.

He was preceded in death by father, James Alton Cason and a brother, James Edwin Cason
