Johnny Lee Hughes January 30, 1942 – October 16, 2022

A Graveside inurnment service will be held for Johnny Lee Hughes, 81, of Mt Shasta, California (formerly of Coos Bay) at 2:00 PM Friday October 28, 2022 at Ocean View Memory Gardens in Coos Bay. Cremation Rites have been held under the direction of Nelson's Bay Area Mortuary.

Johnny was born January 30, 1942 in Neodesha, Kansas. He passed away in his sleep early Sunday morning on October 16, 2022 at Mt. Shasta, California.

Johnny spent his life working on Southern Pacific Railroad and doing railroad construction.

He was loved and admired by all who had the privilege of knowing him. He was a wonderful Husband, Father, Grandpa, Brother, Uncle and Friend who will be greatly missed.

Johnny loved spending time with Family and friends and loved sharing his knowledge with his grandkids.

Daughter - DeAnna & Robert Bolding

Daughter - Jennie & Melvin Shults

Grandchildren - Travis & Tracy Hughes, Alicia Coleman, Nicole & Cody Cox, Daniel & Nichole Shults

Great Grandchildren - Wyatt Coleman, Annabelle Coleman, Brenden Shults, Cooper Shults & Olivia Shults

Sister - Carolyn Sue & Bob Schultz

Brother - Danny Duane & Carla Hughes

Johnny was preceded in death by his wife of 38 years Bessie Delores Hughes. Father: Wilbur Lee Hughes and Mother: Virgie Adeline (Newport) Hughes. Sister, Andrea Hughes Kennedy, and Brother, Darrell Henshaw.
