Lawrence Robert Zitzelberger

LAWRENCE ROBERT "Larry" ZITZELBERGER

Lawrence Robert Zitzelberger, 82, died peacefully on September 4, 2019, surrounded by his family at Sacred Heart Medical Center at Riverbend in Springfield Or. He was born August 2, 1937 in Bloomville Wisconsin, the son of Fred and Hazel (Hansen) Zitzelberger.

Larry graduated from Lewiston High School, Class of 1955. Following graduation, he served in the National Guard. He and his wife, Donna Estes, met in 1962 in Lewiston Idaho. Larry and Donna moved to Oregon shortly after they met and settled in Sixes. They celebrated a life of 57 years together in March.

Larry was well loved and respected in the community. He was known by all as a generous man with a great sense of humor.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by two brothers, Norbert Zitzelberger and Anthony Zitzelberger.

Surviving in addition to his wife, Donna (Estes) Zitzelberger are his daughters, Brenda Martin and husband Matthew, Bonita Stout and husband David, Tina Zitzelberger and husband Richard and his son Lawrence Zitzelberger; Grandchildren, Amber Martin, Christopher Stout, and Nicholas Stout as well as one expected grandchild and one expected great grandchild due in the spring; sister Celeste Wilkerson, brother Joe Zitzelberger and many nieces and nephews.

A service of remembrance will be held 1 pm Saturday September 14 at the Church of Jesus Christ Chapel 2000 Jackson St., Port Orford, OR.
